“Christianity has suffered more casualties from faux faith than from honest doubt.” I‘ve seen this play out and lived it myself so many times. Insecurity causes so much second guessing and self-doubt that we can end up declaring and claiming things we don’t believe because we think we’re supposed to believe it and also we hope it’s enough to want to believe when we don’t.
